First, tape was laid down in a brick pattern with the edges overhanging from the board. Then Total Wall plaster was applied about 1/4" thick. Once it had settled a little, but was still wet, the tape was removed.

Once completely dry, the "bricks" were painted to look like brick, and then a graffiti pattern was painted on top.
