I started out by drawing out the design on the paper protector that came on the Plexiglass. Using an X-acto knife, I cut out certain parts of the design, but peeled them section by section so that I could use the paper that was already there as a masking. I wanted the flowers to look as smooth as possible, so I applied a tinted sealer through a HVLP.
Once I had finished the flowers, I took off most of the rest of the paper, and stuck on some faux leading tape that I cut into halves and quarters for the various thicknesses of lead that I wanted. I also used glue and Crystal Gel for textures.
